ROOTED CALM

An Organic Modern Living Room with Sculptural Ease

Designed as a sanctuary of softness and structure, the space is a study in organic modern interior design—where natural materials, sculptural forms, and biophilic elements quietly reshape how the space is felt as much as seen.

Rachel Blindauer transformed the room from a stark, empty shell into a layered, light-filled retreat. Woven wicker chairs with architectural silhouettes ground the seating area, offering both comfort and sculptural integrity. Towering Birds of Paradise introduce height, movement, and vitality, while oversized earthen vessels lend a sense of permanence and tactile contrast.

Every object was chosen not just for how it looks, but for how it lives. The palette—rooted in neutral tones and natural textures—draws the eye outward, creating harmony between the architecture and the landscape beyond. Custom artwork, created specifically for the space, mirrors the raw elegance of the furnishings and reinforces the room’s subtle rhythm.

More then a home it’s a place of presence—designed to hold daily life with grace, beauty, and intention.
