Born into a community of architects and engineers, Rachel Blindauer attended the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Product Design from Kansas State University, and continued her studies at Academy of Art University and the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Rachel Blindauer has 15+ years of experience designing spaces and residential products. As an industrial designer, Rachel Blindauer has designed more than 800 furniture, seating, lighting, and decor items for Williams Sonoma, Inc. and held an AVP position at Gabby. Rachel Blindauer continues to design and develop lighting, furniture, rugs, sofas, and mirrors for brands and interior design clients. Her company was named in the top 20 design firms in San Francisco, Top 12 Interior Designers to watch on Instagram and nominated for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award. She was also awarded the Emerging Professional Design Excellence Award, Best of Houzz for Customer Service, and holds a LEED Design Associate accreditation. She now operates out of Sarasota, Florida.
