After ten years of designing and baking cakes in shared kitchen spaces, the team behind Pretty Please Bakeshop was ready to open their first retail location. They’re known for playful, beautifully decorated celebration cakes, wedding cakes, and nostalgic treats, so the shop needed to feel just as joyful as what comes out of the oven, and work hard as a place to sell.
The design. I built the interior around their cakes. The palette came straight from their signature designs, then shifted warmer so the room reads as inviting rather than sugary. Gold-painted chairs bring the sense of celebration, and natural wood tabletops keep everything grounded and approachable. It’s a space where a walk-in customer grabbing a treat and a couple booking their wedding cake both feel at home.
The result. A bakery that looks the way the brand tastes: bright, personal, and made with care. The storefront gave the business a true home for pickup, tastings, and everyday customers.
